WHAT IS QR CODES AND HOW DO I USE THEM IN MY SMALL BUSINESS?*********************************************************************

Today, I am going to discuss something that you might know or not know. They are called QR codes. QR stand for quick response. In the past I mentioned that you should create a video for your small business. The challenge was to distribute the video to your target market. You could either upload the video to You Tube with a link or burn DVD’s and distribute it that way to potential customers.

QR codes takes all the hassle away. You can link audio, video, a website or anything to the QR code image. Once the image is scanned by a smart phone device, the video play, or the audio, or the user is taken to a website.

The applications of QR codes are the following:

1.Link the QR Code to your website.

2.To an audio instruction on how to use your product.

3.To a corporate video about your company, or again an instructional video on one of

    your products or services.

4.You can let the QR code reply to you through an sms.

5.You can let the QR code scan your contact details, and it is user for the user to store your contact details.

There are a number of applications, and they are seen these days in magazines, especially the You magazine.

You can print them on your printed brochures. Should someone get your printed brochure, they can scan the tag, and it will do anything you told it to do.

Next, time I will show you where you can get them, the software required for your smart phone, and then it is only your creativity that stands in the way.

What are earnings per share

WHAT ARE EARNINGS PER SHARE

*********************************

Today we are going to cover a topic that exists in every business large or small. If there is no earnings, than your business has a problem and soon you will have no business at all.

Earnings are just a nice word for profit. So earnings are picked up at the end of the income statement. Obviously, earnings or profit is calculated by your income less your expenses. Thus if your income is 50 000 and your expenses is 40 000, your profit or earnings will be 10 000.

Now, what are earnings per share? Let’s say we have 10 000 shares outstanding in our business, then our earnings per share would be 10 000 profit or earnings divided by our number of shares outstanding, which is 10 000. So our earnings per share are exactly 1.

What are outstanding shares etc. is a topic for another day. I just wanted you to understand this basic term as we will build on this in the future.

The Wealth Builder Final Thought: Earnings per share are calculated as companies have multiple shareholders or owners. Some own thousands of shares other millions. So this is an easy way for an investor to see the growth on his investment.
